the living room
Where dignity is priceless.
The Living Room (TLR) is an organization I began supporting in 2019 and I have been able to witness first-hand how vital their services are. TLR is the only day center in Sonoma County exclusively serving homeless and at-risk women and their children. Their aim is to create a welcoming safe environment where participants can rest, rejuvenate and work towards stability. Their staff and volunteers are dedicated to listening to those experiencing homelessness, and to treating every woman and child who comes to The Living Room with kindness, dignity and compassion.
logo redesign
Their iconic blue couch has gone through a number of iterations over the years. Our challenge was to keep the couch, heart pillow, and lamp elements but create something warmer, inviting, and contemporary. Change can be hard for nonprofits, so we are rolling out the new logo in small bites. Below you’ll see the logo we started with, the two interim iterations, and finally the version we hope to roll out next year.

kind words
“I have worked with Viola Design many times over the years and have always been extremely happy with the outcome. Deb has designed numerous campaigns and materials for me during my career in the wine industry and now in my capacity as the Communications Manager for The Living Room. The work is always thoughtful and precise in terms of evoking and conveying your target message. She truly listens and translates your mission into images, text and color.
With Deb’s guidance, The Living Room has launched a new (and much needed) website and has created consistent cohesive messaging through social media, printed materials and advertisements. She has elevated our game substantially and we adore working with her.”
